Architecture
When you need to record and capture objects and provide accurate details on buildings, and terrain, the exacting data produced by a laser scanner gives you an accurate representation unrivalled by any other method.
How to use the data
The data captured via laser scanning offers a vast array of useful outputs, from BIM models to elevations, point clouds, fly-throughs, building plans and three-dimensional models.
Geo-referenced
With the use of geo-referenced laser scanned data, your data can be used to undertake a vast array of tests and analysis, from ‘structural movements’, building inspections, to the monitoring and evaluation of buildings and design. For example, in a recent survey we undertook for a re-development scheme on the coast, we discovered that the area in question was rising and falling by 5cm each day due to tide swell.
Drones
Our drone technology can be used to accurately create 3D models of buildings, artefacts, terrain and more, using photogrammetry. We can combine LiDAR and photogrammetry to improve accuracy and completeness of the models even further.
Cut down on time
3D scanning has proved itself to be invaluable to architects and the construction industry with its ability to cut down on time and reduce onsite inspections. With the ability to visualise the scan data you can mitigate construction risks and design issues; reduce your design and construction costs, as well as to measure and inspect without being on-site.
Data that you can work with
We understand the problems surrounding data conversion which is why we produce data in a vast array of digital formats, whether that is a BIM, a design tool, 3D imaging system or a film.
Outputs include:
- Aerial Drone Surveys + 3D laser scanning
- Topography Surveys
- Photogrammetry
- Area referencing
- BIM models for Architectural and structural projects
- 2D plans and elevations
- Full-colour digital terrain models
- 2D plans and elevations
- Full colour digital terrain models (DTM, DEM & DSM)
- Highly accurate GPS
- Accurate, measurable maps and models
- 4K Video and Photography for enhanced textures and detail.
Choose your format
Digital scans are delivered to you in your chosen file format: STL, OBJ, FBX, COLLADA, 3DS, IGES; STEP, VRML/X3Dand more. Because 3D files occasionally have the ability to be stubborn when importing, we help you to get those files opened and working perfectly on your software suite.
